## About Andrew Reid
Andrew Reid is a Physician Assistant trained at UC Davis, with a Master of Science in Personalized Nutrition from the University of Connecticut, a Graduate Certificate in Precision Nutrition (UConn), and didactics in Dietetics from California State University Los Angeles. He founded Medgeeks in 2013 and has trained over 10,000 clinicians across MD/DO, PA/NP, RDN, DC, and ND backgrounds.

## Core Framework: Salugenesis
The clinical framework underlying all Medgeeks content is salugenesis — the body's evolutionarily conserved healing program. Where pathogenesis describes how disease arises, salugenesis describes how the body returns to health. The framework models biology as a network of five interacting processes centered on cellular and mitochondrial metabolism: immune function, cell-to-cell communication, genome and epigenome regulation, and cellular environment.
